7.00pm to 8.00pm (AEST) Refreshements and Networking
ANZSLA invites you to attend a f2f event in Brisbane on Sports Governance and Transparency with distinguished guest speaker, Michael Primbs, Attorney-at-law and lecturer at TUM School of Management, Munich. The session will be introduced by Juanita Maiden, Senior Associate, Mullins Lawyers.
In the past year, the European Court of Justice (in cases involving the European Superleague Company, International Skating Union, SA Royal Antwerp, Diarra, and others) and the European Union (regarding new anti-money laundering obligations for football clubs and player agents) have made significant decisions that may affect the autonomy and operations of professional sports clubs and organisations. This presentation will focus on these rulings/regulations and explore their practical implications. Will this transparency lead to improved sports governance?
Legal practitioners may claim 1 CPD point for attendance at this event. The presentation will be followed by refreshments and a networking opportunity.
