National Sports Tribunal Legal Assistance Panel (NSTLAP)
The National Sports Tribunal (NST) has been established to provide a cost-effective, efficient, transparent and independent option to resolve anti-doping, disciplinary and other types of sporting disputes. The NST offers a range of dispute resolution options – arbitration, mediation, conciliation and case appraisal – to help national level sporting bodies and their participants resolve disputes efficiently and affordably.
As part of the objective to create an affordable service, the NST is establishing a panel of legal practitioners who are willing to provide free or substantially discounted legal assistance to parties who have a current matter, or intend to bring a matter, to the NST. Assistance may include summary advice and/or representation in relation to athlete eligibility, selection, disciplinary, anti-doping, and other sport related matters accepted as valid by the NST.
Parties who have a current matter or intend to bring a matter to the NST can request a copy of the NSTLAP from the NST Registry. The arrangement for provision of legal assistance is entirely negotiated and managed by the Practitioner and the Party.
For more information, including detailed Terms of Reference and Call for Expressions of Interest, please head to the NST website.
Applications for the current recruitment process will close 5pm AEST Friday 24 July 2020. However, applications are invited at any time.
