Responsibilities

As the Contracts, Risk and Governance Manager, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer and provide support on critical decision-making processes and compliance activities. 

 

You will be heavily involved in a broad range of contracts and topics, including membership, corporate hospitality, sponsorship and advertising agreements, and be a key conduit for a variety of external stakeholders including our industry and community partners, the AFL, Optus Stadium, and government organisations. 

 

You will be a member of the Club’s Risk, Insurance and Compliance Committee, and work closely with members of our executive and management team and overall staff group to plan, monitor, and control risk, insurance and compliance, including the management of Player Additional Services Agreements.

 

Requirements

Successful delivery of this position will require:

 

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven ability to establish and manage strong and professional relationships, both internal and external.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts including sensitive areas of privacy, intellectual property, and consumer protection.
  • A strong understanding of corporate risk management and insurance practices and requirements.
  • An understanding of corporate governance practices and requirements, including base level company secretary duties.
  • A background and understanding of sports is advantageous but not essential.
