ANZSLA Webinar (13 July): How Australian & New Zealand sport is approaching their human rights responsibilities
ANZSLA invites you to attend a webinar discussing the current human rights related challenges facing sport in Australia and New Zealand with expert panel members Nikki Dryden (Human Rights & Sport Lawyer, Advisor, Researcher, Olympic Swimmer, Fulbright Scholar, Safeguarding Officer), Kristen Hilton (AFLPA Board member, former Victorian Human Rights & Equal Opportunity Commissioner) and Steph Bond (NZ Athletes Federation, Executive Manager, NZ Netball Players' Association). The session will be facilitated by Brendan Schwab (Director, Hughes Schwab Pty Ltd).
The panel will discuss current issues including sport’s human rights crisis and global developments; the human rights responsibilities of sports bodies under the UNGPs; human rights challenges in Australia; and the major review in New Zealand.
