WA Sport + Active Recreation Dispute Resolution Service

Western Australian Sport and Active Recreation Dispute Resolution Service

State Sport Associations and Recreation Peak bodies have additional support through the WA Sport and Active Recreation Dispute Resolution Service, a partnership between the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and WASF.

The service offers assistance ranging from information, education, referral to further support agencies and subsidized mediation. The types of disputes may include governance related matters, conflicts of interest, grievances under the organisation’s Member Protection policy and by-law breaches for off-field conduct.

A dispute can only be brought to the Service by a State Sport Association or Recreation Peak body once the organisation’s internal dispute mechanisms have been exhausted.

WASF is pleased to offer this service to our member organisations to assist in the timely resolution of disputes.
